Tools:
• Raycast - A productivity tool that enhances your Mac's spotlight search with customizable commands and workflows. I love setting up keybinds on my mac to instant access any LLM I need, pull up my clipboard of the last 10 things I copied, or launch an app by typing the name all without touching my mouse!
• Notchnook - A utility app designed to hide or customize the notch area on MacBooks with notched displays. This is a feature apple should have created themselves, but I love how accessible it is for accessing music, holding files when you need your mouse, a quick airdrop, or seeing your calendar & to do list! I have the jailbroken version that works just as perfectly cause I ain't paying $25 for that.
• Menubar X - A lightweight web browser that runs directly from your Mac's menu bar for quick access to websites. You can also pin certain apps to access with one click, I have mine set to ChatGPT so I can ask questions without opening chrome.
• Canva - A user-friendly graphic design platform for creating various visual content like social media posts, presentations, and marketing materials. If you're not using Canva to create all your school projects & presentations.. what are you doing. Also incredibly helpful for creating marketing campaigns & editing photos with their AI tools, even on the free version!
• Dropover - A drag-and-drop utility for macOS that provides a temporary holding space for files and content. Honestly the most helpful 5$ I've ever spent, and only thing I've paid for on this list. I take so many screenshots on my computer and need a quick place to hold them while I move around, and when I hold shift it opens a folder for me to place them!
• Apple Calendar - The native calendar application for Apple devices, offering scheduling and time management features. I love the UI of Apple Calendar better than Google, and because I have an iPhone it seamlessly connects to all my devices! It's also the best calendar for sharing, having multiple calendars, and integrating into widgets.
• Apple Notes - A built-in note-taking app for Apple devices that allows for text, image, and sketch input. I've honestly gotten used to Notes as my go to for absolutely anything, and I love how quick & easy it is to use, my alternative recommendation if you want Notes with AI, is Craft!
• Trello - A web-based project management tool that uses boards, lists, and cards to organize tasks and workflows. I use Trello to manage my teams & club to do lists by assigning cards & tasks to each member to complete during the week. This helps me easily manage team KPI's & metrics, as well as seeing how quick others get their tasks done.
• Slack - A team collaboration platform that combines instant messaging, file sharing, and integrations with other work tools. I love Slack > Discord for all team communications just cause it feels cleaner & easier to navigate. I just wish it didn't delete messages after 90 days for the free version!
• Grammarly - An AI-powered writing assistant that checks grammar, spelling, and style in real-time across various platforms. I have the Grammarly app & chrome extension, so no matter where I'm writing, I have automated grammar fixes & AI recommendations if I get stuck.
• Flow - A time-tracking and focus app designed to boost productivity and manage work sessions. I have this pinned in my toolbar if I need a quick pomodoro study sessions, and it gives fun little quotes when you finish a session!
• Remove.bg - An online tool that automatically removes backgrounds from images with a single click. I love how well this free website works to remove backgrounds from anything I need, and I use it a lot more often than I realize for creating marketing flyers, posters, etc.
• Custom GPT's - Specialized versions of GPT language models tailored for specific tasks or domains, often created by users for personal or professional. I love GPT & GenAI in general, but why waste your time using a platform that has generic knowledge on a subject when someone specifically trained a model on a dataset to give you accurate info. I use specific GPT's for coding, resume revision, career coaching, marketing & growth hacking, and copywriting.
